With the start of a new spring season, we have dozens of new perennials to offer. While this article highlights many of our new selections, you are welcome to browse the full collection of New Plants for 2025 on our website.

We’ll start with perennials for the sunny garden. These perennials prefer full sun to part shade and provide many different colors, textures and interest throughout the seasons.

A selection of our New for 2025 Plants that can be browsed on our website.

Achillea ‘Firefly Fuschia’ (Yarrow) features deep magenta flower clusters that bloom from early summer to fall. Known for its drough tolerance and fern-like foliage, it is a magnet for butterflies and grows 18-24 inches tall.
Agastache ‘Pinky Pie’ (Anise Hyssop) boasts long-lasting soft pink flower spikes that attract hummingbirds and bloom for months. Its fragrant foliage deters deer while attracting beneficial pollinators.
Baptisia ‘Golden Anniversary’ (False Indigo) is a standout in the spring garden, showcasing golden-yellow pea-like flowers atop sturdy stems. Its deep taproot makes it incredible drought-resistant and long-lived.
‘Allium ‘Bobblehead’ (Ornamental Onion) presents whimsical lavender-pink blooms that sway gently in the breeze. Growing 12-18 inches tall, it is highly resistant to deer and rabbits.
Echinacea ‘Everything’s Rosy’ is a vigorous coneflower with bright rose-colored petals surrounding a deep orange center and is beloved by bees and butterflies.
Heliopsis ‘Touch of Blush’ (False Sunflower) bears golden-yellow blooms with a subtle pink blush at their centers. It blooms from midsummer into fall, providing a continuous nectar source for pollinators.
Penstemon (Beardtongue) ‘Rose Rhinestones’ and ‘Pink Pearls’ grow 18-24 inches tall and bloom prolifically with tubular flowers that are a deep rose and a delicate pink, respectively.
Phlox ‘Pink Lightning’(Tall Garden Phlox) delivers shockingly bright pink bloom heads above very mildew resistant foliage.

Salvia ‘Big Sky’ (Meadow Sage) is a big and bold selection featuring tall spikes of deep violet-blue flowers that bloom later than other perennial Salvias. Bees and butterflies will flock to this plant that grows 28-32 inches tall.
Thalictrum ‘Cotton Candy’ (Meadow Rue) adds a tall statement and fine texture to the garden with dense pillars of foliage topped with wispy lavender flowers in late spring. Grows 38-42 inches tall and is deer and rabbit resistant.
Spigelia ‘Apple Slices’ offers dark wine red, tubular flowers for many weeks in late spring and early summer. The color and shape of the blooms are popular with hummingbirds. Spigelia is rapidly growing in popularity and has become a favorite in our display gardens. It is easy to grow in most soil conditions and thrives in both sun and shade.

A couple new Daylilies to join our collection are ‘Fearfully and Wonderfully Made’, which produces large, ruffled lavender blooms with a yellow throat and intricate veining, and ‘Inscribed On My Heart’, which is deep pink with a darker eye and gold-edged ruffles, making it a standout in the summer garden.

If you are working with more shade than sun, check out a couple of new Heuchera (Coral Bells). Heuchera ‘Ball Gown’ features ruffled, lime-green foliage that remains vibrant throughout the season with delicate white flower spikes adding a graceful accent in late spring.
Heuchera ‘Prom Dress’ is also heavily ruffled with violet-flushed pewter leaves accented with dark charcoal veins.
Epimedium (Barrenwort) is a fantastic choice for the shade garden due to its adaptability. It thrives in dry shade, making it an excellent ground cover for areas under trees where other plants may struggle. Once established, it is highly drought tolerant and is resistant to deer and rabbits. We will be growing three new varieties of Epimedium this season; ‘Cranberry Dancer’ with delicate cranberry-red flowers, ‘Dream Catcher’ with soft yellow blooms above bronzed foliage, and ‘Pink Champagne’ boasting pale pink spurred flowers that float above mottled green foliage.
