Children’s Garden

The children’s garden area was created in memory of our beloved Kathy Hornbaker. It consists of a large, sloped, grassy play area where kids can be kids. Children of all ages can be seen climbing and jumping off a big flat boulder or a weather-smoothed White Oak log, going through a tunnel that’s five feet in diameter, or playing with scoops and trucks in the pea gravel area. A short distance from the Children’s Garden is a sandy beach along the shallow stream in the front yard, where kids just naturally wade right in. Imaginations run wild in the willow branch hut and a playhouse known as Kathy’s Kitchen. Bring your family and a picnic lunch for some great fun.
